First Login
Genie uses DHL single sign-on (SSO) — no separate account or password. Any DHL employee with a valid corporate identity can sign in; what they can do afterwards depends on which knowledge bases they have access to.
Prerequisites
- An active DHL employee identity (Entra ID / Azure AD account)
- Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) configured on your DHL account — Genie enforces MFA at the identity-provider level
- A supported modern browser (Chrome, Edge, Safari, Firefox)
Sign in

Open https://genie.dhlrdlab.com in your browser.

You will see the Genie landing page with four feature cards and a yellow DHL SSO Login button. Card behavior:
- Create Intelligence Application — navigates to
/create-app. Only Super Admins can complete this; everyone else lands on a 403 page. - Launch Collaboration — navigates to
/c(the Chat page). - Govern Your Own Data, Manage Access — visual only, no link.

Click DHL SSO Login. You are redirected to the Microsoft Entra ID sign-in page.

Enter your DHL email, then your password, then complete MFA (Authenticator approval, SMS code, or whichever method your account uses).

After successful sign-in you are redirected back to Genie. The top-right corner now shows a notification bell, your name, and your profile avatar.
If you already have an active session with another DHL Microsoft app on this browser, Genie will sign you in silently — you may not see the sign-in page at all.
What you see after login
The first thing every user sees after sign-in is the landing page with the four shortcut cards. From here you can:
- Click your name in the header → Apps to see the knowledge bases you have access to
- Click your name → Chat to start a conversation
- Click your name → New Request to request access to a knowledge base
If you don't yet have access to any knowledge base, the Chat page automatically shows the Request Access form (see Request Access).

Troubleshooting first login
| Symptom | What to do |

| "401 – Unauthorized" page | Your sign-in session expired or never completed. Click DHL SSO Login on the landing page to retry. |
| "403 – Forbidden" page | You are signed in but tried to open a page that requires a role you don't have (for example, the admin-only Create App page). Use the Home link to go back. |
Stuck spinner on /auth/callback | Your browser couldn't complete the SSO redirect. Try clearing site data for genie.dhlrdlab.com and signing in again, or use a different browser. |
| MFA prompt loops | This is an account-level issue, not a Genie issue. Contact IT Service Desk to verify your MFA methods. |
| "I never see the sign-in page" | You're already signed in via a sibling Microsoft app — this is expected. Click your name in the top right to check who you're signed in as. |

Signing out
Click your avatar (top-right circle with your initial or photo) → Logout. You are signed out of Entra ID so the next visit requires a fresh SSO + MFA.
Token lifetime and revocation are governed by your DHL Entra ID configuration, not by Genie itself. If you sign out on a shared computer, close the browser tab as well so cached state can't be reused before the underlying token naturally expires.
If your token expires while you are using Genie you will be redirected back to the landing page and asked to sign in again. Any chat input you had not yet submitted may be lost — copy long messages before sending if you've been idle for a while.
